This session will dive into fractions and how to teach them for understanding using the 8 Effective Teaching Practices. All of the teaching practices will be touched on, however we will focus on Use and connect mathematical representations, Facilitate meaningful mathematical discourse, and Implement tasks that promote reasoning and problem solving.
